GEMTECH's Barrel Threading service is precise and continues full warranty coverage for your suppressor. Our skilled craftsmen have decades of barrel threading experience, and we ensure that your barrel is threaded properly and gauged concentric to avoid damage to silencers.

Pricing ($145 + Flat Rate Shipping) includes our precision threading service, a custom-made thread protector and rebluing (if necessary/possible) and return Ground UPS shipping to your CONUS address. Special Handling fees may apply for large packages or Expedited Air Shipping.

Make payment through this webstore, print out receipt and instructions and then send your firearm to us directly. Make sure you select your thread pitch, and whether you need your barrel shortened (select the "Cut, Thread, Recrown" service option only if you need this service). If there are any other special notes, please include your written comments on the printout. Send your package in an appropriate manner, insured if you desire, and in a trackable manner so you'll know when it gets here without having to call us: From receiving it, there is generally a 35-day turnaround time to complete the work. We can then return it directly back to you without it needing to go through an FFL dealer. Please call prior to sending your firearm to us if you have any technical questions or concerns. SPECIAL NOTES, SHIPPING INFO & ADDITIONAL CHARGE OPTIONS:

PISTOLS require Next-Day-Air shipping if sent UPS or FedEx and may not be sent through the USPS by individuals. Rifles may be sent via USPS or UPS. We suggest sending slide and barrel only for most handguns, avoiding the next-day air charges.

RIFLES, remove scopes, scope rings, bipods, etc. For bolt-action rifles we strongly recommend leaving the rifle in its stock, or removing the trigger assembly altogether for shipment. The trigger assembly is fragile and will often break in shipping regardless of how well it is packaged. Leaving the action in its stock protects the trigger.

AR15-TYPE UPPERS do not require removal of the barrel in most cases. You may send the entire upper, minus the bolt carrier group and any rail mounted accessories.

RUGER 10/22 TAPERED BARRELS can be threaded, but the front sight will be removed to make it an optics-only rifle. If you prefer to have the front sight "rescued" modified, and re-installed, an additional $25 labor charge is optional - select your preference from the pull-down menu under "thread size" options to choose either standard 1/2-28 threading without a front sight, or "RUGER 1022, 1/2-28 w/ front sight" to have the sight modified and re-installed.

RUGER MINI-14 CARBINES require additional setup time and are charged an additional $65 to thread.
