This factory-threaded M4 barrel was crowned completely lopsided, leading to a damaged suppressor endcap on the very first shot… which GEMTECH fixed promptly, even though it wasn’t our suppressor that was at fault.
This is a good visual reminder to always check alignment before pulling triggers on a new installation! When looking down this particular bore (by pulling the bolt, looking down the barrel as if following the bullet flight path), you could see a half-moon of suppressor blocking the light on one side – a LOT. This is an easy, cursory check that anyone can do: Unload and safe your firearm, mount the suppressor, pull bolt or otherwise disassemble the firearm so you can look down the barrel from the back (chamber) end. If you see perfect circles through the silencer, great. If you see egg-shaped, eccentric suppressor baffle in your flight path, like Eddie Eagle says: Stop, Leave The Area, Call An Adult.
