Governor Jay Nixon just this last week signed into law some legislative housekeeping that makes common sense hearing protection easier to obtain by all citizens of Missouri along with better concealed carry law. Before this, you needed a Curio & Relic Federal Firearms License in order to even be eligible to pay the $200 transfer tax. Now, anyone with a clean background that could otherwise own a handgun and other firearms may now proceed with the transfer process to own a muffler for them!
It’s been a great year for progressive legislation from the grassroots up in many states, and we applaud Missouri for helping the pendulum continue to swing the right way! Thanks to Jeanie Riddle and Ward Franz for sponsoring this bill. Just another reason GEMTECH will be looking forward to visiting St. Louis, MO to exhibit at the 2012 NRA Convention next year!
